Another one got away from Niagara on Feb. 8 at Rider, making it hard to know what's in store for the up-and-down Purple Eagles.
"It was a disappointing loss," Niagara coach Joe Mihalich said after his squad frittered away a 14-point halftime lead and lost another game it should have won. "We let a great opportunity slip away."
There have been a lot of opportunities that have gotten away from this team, which was picked to finish second preseason, has played through injuries and not played with consistency with everyone healthy.
The Eagles, who pride themselves on being a February team, defeated rival Canisius before going to New Jersey and losing to Rider team that has also had its share of underachievement this season. ...More |
