Williams, a rising sophomore guard, was granted his release Wednesday from Duke because his mom is sick. He told The Commercial-Appeal on Saturday that he&#39;s planning to transfer to Memphis, in his hometown, because being closer to his family is the most important thing.]]></description>

&lt;p&gt;The rebuilding process starts at the top. John Calipari accepted an eight-year, $31.65 million deal with Kentucky that makes him the highest-paid coach in college basketball. Much of the recruiting class followed Calipari, but first-year coach Josh Pastner whose prowess as a talent evaluator and recruiter was evident when landing Latavious Williams and one of the top players in the 2010 crop, Will Barton. Barton committed verbally and is widely considered one of the top all-around talents in next year's class.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;That kind of news is welcome in Memphis, where one of Pastner's top recruits, 2008 No.</description>
