Elliot Williams scored 20 points and Roburt Sallie added 17 as Memphis defeated Central Arkansas 81-49 on Tuesday night. Overcoming a slow start in which they missed their first six shots, the Tigers recovered to build a 21-point halftime lead, and extended the advantage to 30 early in the second half.

Josh Pastner has "Gratefulness" posted above his office door. He gets his kicks coaching, doesn't need any additives to enjoy life. The new Memphis coach has never sipped alcohol, smoked a cigarette, tried caffeine or drunk a soda. He's no goody two-shoes, he's just the coaching equivalent of a gym rat.

Elliot Williams scored 23 points and Doneal Mack added 20 in leading Memphis to a 92-59 victory over Tennessee Tech on Friday night. Williams connected on 8-for-12 from the field as the Tigers (2-1) overcame early shooting woes to finish hitting 56 percent from the field. Willie Kemp added 11 points and six assists, while Roburt Sallie finished with 10 points for Memphis.

Memphis won't release NCAA vacated win response (AP)

The University of Memphis refused on Wednesday to release the NCAA's response to its appeal of a ruling that vacated the 2007-08 men's basketball season. Memphis's legal counsel Sheryl Lipman said they can't produce the document because they didn't receive a copy, and instead read a version of it through the NCAA's Web site.
