Kansas State's Denis Clemente pulled off a seemingly impossible feat on Saturday. He fell onto the same Iowa State fan twice in one game. The first time, Clemente said he asked the woman for some popcorn and a Coke. The second time, he jokingly wondered where it was. The game was bordering on historic for Craig Brackins.
Iowa State's junior forward got off to a scorching hot start Feb. 6 against Kansas State and looked as if he might threaten the 42-point performance he enjoyed last season against Kansas.
In the end, he settled for 29 points and 12 rebounds. The effort, coupled with another loss for Iowa State prompted discussion of Brackins' future as the Cyclones dipped to 13-10 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12.
Will Brackins forgo his senior season and bolt for the NBA? Quite likely.
"It's my gut feeling," ISU coach Greg McDermott said. "Craig hasn't told me that, but he certainly indicated that last year when he made his decision to come back another year." The decision to return to Iowa State for his junior ...More |
