Wichita State cruised to a 74-57 victory over Iowa on Tuesday in the consolation game of the CBE Classic behind 18 points from sophomore Garrett Stutz. The 7-foot Stutz scored 16 points in the first half on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. He scored 10 straight points during one stretch, hit his first two 3-pointers and made a steal during a 13-2 run that put Wichita State (2-2) in control.

The struggling Iowa Hawkeyes found their touch Friday night and defeated Bowling Green 68-46 in a non-conference game. The Hawkeyes (1-2) had shot only 32.7 percent from the field and 20.4 percent on 3-pointers while dropping their first two games for the first time since the 1970-71 campaign. But they shot much better against the Falcons (1-2).

Bill Clark's 3-pointer with 11.7 seconds left Tuesday night gave Duquesne a 52-50 victory over Iowa in the CBE Classic. It was the first victory for the Dukes (2-0) over a Big Ten team since they beat Illinois in 1973, and their first victory in 10 tries in a Big Ten arena.
