Scott Cherry's first order of business upon being named High Point's head coach was to revamp the Panthers' offense.
High Point averaged only 64.4 points per game last season and barely made the eight-team Big South tournament. Winning only nine games last season cost former coach Bart Lundy his job.
Cherry wants to push the tempo and he has the offensive weapons in the backcourt to do that with senior Eugene Harris and sophomore Nick Barbour.
"It's going to be fast paced," Cherry said. "We'll try to go out and pressure with man-to-man defense, full-court and half-court, and then transition and get early baskets.
