After a couple of near misses, Florida State made it to the NCAA field of 65 last season for the first time under coach Leonard Hamilton.

Although the Seminoles lost a two-point decision to Wisconsin in the first round, simply getting into the field marked a significant step for the program, and their 25 victories were the most since 1993.

Defense was largely responsible for the strong season, as only guard Toney Douglas posted a scoring average in double figures.

Douglas is gone, but in a bit of irony, the aim this season is for the Seminoles to step up the pace offensively.
