Eugene Harris inherited a mess when he accepted the position of coach at Florida A&M on the eve of the 2007-08 season.

Things are in much better shape now. The Rattlers have a shiny new facility, return three starters and boast a tall and athletic roster with seven of the 12 players standing at least 6-6.

The returnees include leading scorer Brandon Bryant and one of the team's top outside shooters, Dale Hughes, but even they will face challenges for their starting spots from the newcomers to the program.

Candidates for immediate playing time include point guard Rasheem Jenkins and forward Chris Walker.
