Florida all but locked up its third straight NCAA Tournament berth with a 63-47 win Tuesday night at home against Auburn.
However, the victory came at a price. The Gators lost reserve forward Will Yeguete for likely the rest of the season with a broken foot. Yeguete landed on the foot awkwardly while going for a rebound with 11:11 left in the game.
With Yeguete out, Florida coach Billy Donovan said other players will need to step up. The Gators next play Saturday at Georgia.
"We're going to have to look at Casey Prather playing the four (power forward), Brad (Beal) playing the four, Scottie (Wilbekin) playing the four," Donovan said. "Cody Larson is going to have to step up and provide a little bit more. ...More |
