Brian Gregory motivated his team in a most unusual way Feb. 6.
As Dayton gathered for final instructions before taking the floor against visiting rival Xavier, the coach suddenly appeared in front of the Flyers in full boxing regalia with a hooded red-and-white robe and red gloves while LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out" played on the locker room sound system.
Dayton proceeded to not only TKO Xavier 90-65 but knock the Musketeers out of first place in the Atlantic 10 and keep what had been dimming hopes of winning the regular-season conference title alive.
