Jerome Dyson scored 20 points and Connecticut snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating DePaul 64-57 on Saturday night. Stanley Robinson added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Huskies (14-9, 4-6 Big East), who improved to 3-3 while coach Jim Calhoun has been out on a doctor-ordered leave of absence. ...More

The reeling Huskies got the best medicine the Big East can offer over the weekend: a home date with DePaul.

And while Connecticut fulfilled its end of the bargain, knocking off the Blue Demons 64-57, it was an ugly affair that didn't do much to inspire confidence that the team has turned the corner.

UConn has lost six of its last nine games, the last six with George Blaney in charge. Jim Calhoun remains out on a medical leave of absence, and it is still unclear when he will return.

What is clear is that expecting someone new to emerge as a force in the rotation off the bench, besides "substitute" Gavin Edwards who gets more minutes than anyone in the frontcourt. UConn is still dependent on the same few players for its offense.
