There were serious injuries to Billy Blackmon and Kelvin Martin. The team's best player, Omar Carter, didn't always play focused and ultimately chose to transfer to a junior college. </p> <p>Fifth-year coach Barclay Radebaugh was forced to use a seven-player rotation by the end of the season, and the Bucs couldn't sneak past High Point to earn the final league tournament bid.</p> <p>To top it off, Charleston Southern had a 27-point lead at Winthrop late in the season but blew it.
