By the standards of several other Pac-10 schools, most notably USC, the spring was pretty quiet at Berkeley. No defections, investigations or resignations.

As the Golden Bears head into the summer before the 2009-10 campaign, their biggest issues relate to two key players who underwent offseason surgery.

Senior-to-be small forward Theo Robertson, one of four starters back from a team that won 22 games, had arthroscopic surgery on his right hip March 28. He expects to be back well in advance of the start of fall practice.

For Robertson, who averaged 13.1 points last season, this was a far less invasive procedure than the microfracture surgery he underwent on his left hip after the 2006-07 season.
