The biggest challenge for Boise State next season will be replacing second-team All-WAC power forward Mark Sanchez. Coach Greg Graham hopes he found the answer this spring.

Graham wanted to try to fill that spot with junior college help, and he got that with the signing of Daequon Montreal from the College of Southern Idaho. The 6-8 forward averaged 15.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game last season, also averaging about one steal and one block per game.

Montreal had been pursued during the recruiting process by Gonzaga and had taken a visit to South Florida.
