Scouting Report on Romero Osby
by Jerry Meyer - 09/13/2006A jack of all trades type of player, Osby has the size and versatility to impact the game both inside and outside. He can both make the three-pointer, score on the interior and passes the ball well off the dribble. An intelligent player on both ends of the court, Osby does need to improve his lateral quickness for defending the small forward position.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
