Scouting Report on Mouphtaou Yarou
by Jerry Meyer - 08/25/2008A physical specimen, Yarou runs the floor extremely well and has an athletic presence around the basket. Adept at scoring with his back to the basket, Yarou also has the ability to make plays facing the basket. His combination of a broad skill package, athleticism and strong motor make him a high level prospect with intriguing upside.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
