Scouting Report on Michael Cobbins
by Jerry Meyer - 08/26/2009Long and athletic, Cobbins is a rapidly developing combo forward. The lefty has a feel for handling and passing the basketball and has a soft touch out to the arc. Defensively, he is effective in both the post and the perimeter. His versatility is his greatest asset.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
