Scouting Report on Kosta Koufos
by Jerry Meyer - 06/19/2006With a NBA center's body, Koufos has outstanding skills with the ball. He can shoot it from behind the arc, pass it out of the double team or feed from the high post and catch the difficult pass. Not an explosive athlete, he needs to work on his footspeed on the defensive side of the ball.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
