Scouting Report on Karron Johnson
by Jerry Meyer - 10/31/2007Well built and athletic, Johnson is a formidable threat in the lane. He is an explosive rebounder and a strong finisher. He is a decent ball handler as well, but he has work to do on his shooting range. When he puts his mind to it, Johnson can also be a difference maker on the defensive end.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
