Scouting Report on Jonathan Huffman
by Jerry Meyer - 08/24/2004Huffman has an intriguing combination of size and skill. Not an explosive athlete, he is a smooth athlete in the mold of a European style big man who can shoot the three and put it on the floor. He must get stronger and learn to play a more physical style of play. If he does, he has the size and skill to play basketball for a long time.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
