Scouting Report on Howard Thompkins

Blessed with sure hands and a soft touch, Thompkins scores from behind the arc, can drive his way into the mid-range to score off spin moves and can also scored in the post with a well developed back to the basket game. He also passes the ball well on the move in the open court. Not an explosive athlete, Thompkins relies on his positioning and strong hands as a rebounder.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
