Scouting Report on Chris Colvin
by Jerry Meyer - 08/27/2007A physical lead guard, Colvin has the strength and quickness to get into the lane almost at will. Once inside the interior of the defense, he has the ability to finish as well as set up his shooters. Defensively, he has the tools to be a dominant defender against either guard position. Playing under control and improving the consistency of his long range shot are areas for improvement.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
