Scouting Report on Chris Allen
by Jerry Meyer - 06/19/2006A prolific scorer, Allen is explosive going right to the basket and also shoots the long ball very well off the dribble. He is also capable of scoring off turnaround jumpers in the mid-range. He is improving as a defender and a rebounder, but still has plenty of room for growth in those areas.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
