The Raiders (4-6) led 50-45 before Jon Harris hit a late 3-pointer for Miami (2-5). With 0:02 left, Julian Mavunga made a foul shot but missed the second and Wright State held on.
Mavunga scored 12 points in the first half as Miami led 22-21 at the break. He also added 16 rebounds.
Both teams shot poorly. Wright State hit 34.1 percent (15 for 44) to Miami’s 30.2 percent (13 of 43). Mavunga was just 4 of 16 from the field.
Wright State, however, made 7 of 18 3-point attempts. Darling, the only Raider in double figures, and Julius Mays (8 points) each hit two 3’s. The Raiders were 14-for-19 from the foul line.
Harris was the only other Miami player in double figures. Eight other Redhawks combined for only 29 points.
