Tuesday, Nov 29, 2011INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—Andrew Smeathers scored 17 points in 10 minutes off the bench and Butler rolled to an easy 98-53 victory over Oakland City on Tuesday night.
Six Bulldogs scored at least 10 points, with two posting double-doubles. Andrew Smith had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Kameron Woods had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Butler (4-3), which used a 17-0 run early in the game to pull away. The Bulldogs led 42-18 at halftime.
Chase Stigall added 15 points, Chrishawn Hopkins scored 11 and Erik Fromm had 10 points.
Maurice Fuller led all scorers with 20 points for Oakland City, which plays in Division II. Cameron LeFear had 16 points for the Mighty Oaks (3-3).
