McNeese State beats out Sacramento State 68-63
Sunday, Nov 27, 2011SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)—Patrick Richard finished with game highs of 19 points and eight rebounds as McNeese State made a second-half comeback to take a 68-63 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.
The Cowboys (3-2) fell behind quickly and trailed by as many as 18 points in the opening minutes of the second half.
But they went on a 9-0 run early in the half and followed it a few minutes later with a 7-0 run to take a 53-50 lead. The Cowboys never gave it back.
Rudy Turner finished with 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field for the Cowboys while Jeremie Mitchell added 11.
Joe Eberhard led the Hornets (3-2) with 16 points, John Dickson added 15 and Konner Veteto 10.
