San Francisco uses late run to down Seattle 69-63

SEATTLE (AP)—San Francisco got 15 points from Michael Williams and outscored Seattle 7-2 down the stretch for a 69-63 victory over Seattle on Saturday.

The Dons (4-1) also got 12 points each from Angelo Caloiaro and Perris Blackwell.

Aaron Broussard led Seattle (0-2) with 19 points. Clarence Trent scored 12. Broussard has 999 career points.

Trent hit two free throws with 36.7 seconds remaining to pull the Redhawks close at 62-61.

Seattle fouled immediately after the timeout, sending Cody Doolin to the free-throw line. He made both to extend San Francisco’s lead to 64-61. Sterling Carter missed in traffic inside, and Seattle fouled Blackwell while fighting for the rebound. Blackwell made one shot.

Seattle’s Prince Obasi missed a three-pointer. San Francisco scrambled to retain the rebound and called timeout with 14.6 seconds left. Doolin was again fouled and made both free throws, extending the San Francisco lead to 67-61.
