DELAND, Fla. (AP)—Jerron Granberry scored 21 points and Andres Diaz 19 to lead North Florida to an 80-77 victory over Stetson on Thursday night.
Diaz made 9 of 11 shots for the Ospreys (12-18, 9-10 Atlantic Sun Conference), who also got 14 points from Parker Smith.
Stetson had a chance to tie the game at 76 with 13.6 seconds left, but Joel Naburgs missed the second of his two free throws.
The Hatters (7-23, 5-14) lost for the 12th time in 13 games and were eliminated from any chance of reaching the Atlantic Sun tournament.
North Florida was 9 for 22 from 3-point range, including four each from Granberry and Smith.
Ridge Graham led Stetson with his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Tyshawn Patterson came off the bench to score a season-high 21 points in 24 minutes.
The Hatters also got 13 points from Naburgs and 10 from Luis Jacobo.
