LAFAYETTE, La. (AP)—Travis Bureau made two free throws with 1 second remaining to lift Louisiana-Lafayette over Arkansas-Little Rock 67-66 on Saturday night.
The Ragin’ Cajuns led 65-62 with 1:07 to play, but a layup by Eric Kibi and two free throws by Solomon Bozeman gave the Trojans a 66-65 lead with 9 seconds to go.
Bureau had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and went 13 of 17 from the free-throw line for Louisiana-Lafayette (8-14, 5-5 Sun Belt conference), which won its fifth straight game.
J.J. Thomas added 16 points for the Ragin’ Cajuns, who made 30 of 38 free-throw attempts and won despite shooting 34 percent (17 of 50) from the field.
Bozeman scored 19 points—15 coming from the foul line—and Marlon Louzeiro and Kibi each added 10 for the Trojans (13-12, 5-5), who lost for the third time in four games.
