LOS ANGELES (AP)—Vinnie McGhee scored 20 points and Lenny Daniel added 18 as Cal State-Northridge rallied to defeat Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo 80-65 Saturday.
Josh Greene had 14 points for the Matadors (6-13, 3-3 Big West), who trailed by six early in the second half before rallying with an 11-2 run to take the lead for good.
Shawn Lewis led the Mustangs (8-10, 4-3) with a season-high 24 points.
Trailing 44-38 after a 3-pointer by Jordan Lewis with 15:14 to play, Cal State-Northridge tied it with six straight points, then pulled away by outscoring Cal Poly 15-7 over the next 6 1/2 minutes.
The Mustangs closed the first half with a 7-0 run to take a 31-29 lead into intermission.
