Arkansas State rallies in 2nd half for 78-75 win

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP)—Martavius Adams and Trey Finn each scored 15 points and Arkansas State rallied in the second half to defeat Lamar 78-75 Monday night.

Brandon Peterson added 14 point and 11 rebounds for the Red Wolves (10-10), and Rashad Allison finished with nine points and nine assists.

Mike James scored 25 points to lead the Cardinals (8-9). Brandon Davis had 15.

After falling behind by 13 in the first half and trailing 47-36 at intermission, Arkansas State rallied by shooting 52 percent in the second half while limiting Lamar to 37 percent shooting.

Arkansas State scored 32 points off the Cardinals’ 21 turnovers and outscored them at the free-throw line 20-11.
