Monmouth (N.J.) comes back to beat Bryant 66-57

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP)—Jordan Davis pulled down 13 rebounds and scored 12 points as Monmouth (N.J.) came from behind to beat Bryant 66-57 in Northeast Conference action on Monday night.

The Hawks (5-9, 1-1) trailed 28-17 at halftime after shooting just 7 for 27 from the floor (25.9 percent) in the first half and trailed 33-18 with 18:11 left in the game.

Monmouth used a 20-3 run to take its first lead of the game, 38-36, with 10:25 left to play and eventually stretched its lead to 60-47 with 1:06 left.

Ed Waite led the Hawks with 14 points and Gary Cox added 10 as Monmouth shot 50 percent from the field (10 of 20) in the second half.

Bryant (2-12, 0-2) led by as many as 17 points, 27-10 with 3:46 left in the opening half, but were outscored 28-5 in bench points after halftime.

Frankie Dobbs and Alex Francis scored 15 points apiece for the Bulldogs, who have lost 10 of their last 11 games.
