CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP)—Jarrod Jones had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Ball State held Eastern Illinois to 16.1-percent shooting in the second half in a 58-51 comeback victory on Wednesday night.
Jauwan Scaife scored 16 points for the Cardinals (4-3), who erased a nine-point halftime deficit.
Jeremy Granger had 11 points and Shaun Pratl and Curry McKinney 10 each for the Panthers (3-6), who shot 5 of 31 from the floor and were outscored 32-16 after intermission.
The Cardinals—who defeated Eastern Illinois 77-46 on Nov. 14—led by three points with 51 seconds remaining, but then allowed the Panthers just one shot while going 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.
