CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP)—Anthony Campbell scored 19 points and Austin Peay beat Southeast Missouri State 78-60 in the conference opener Thursday.
The Governors (4-4, 1-0 Ohio Valley) were 42.9 percent in 3-point shooting compared to SEMO (0-7, 0-1), which was 25 percent.
Campbell finished with two rebounds, two steals and shot 7 of 12 in the field. Tyshwan Edmondson scored 14 points and had six assists and one rebound.
John Fraley added 13 points and six rebounds and made 7 of 9 from the free-throw line. Caleb Brown also scored 13 points and had six rebounds and four assists.
Anthony Allison led the Redhawks’ offense with 20 points. Leon Powell added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Nate Schulte added 11 points and six rebounds.
