Harvard rolls past Holy Cross 72-49
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP)—Brandyn Curry had 10 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds and five steals to lead Harvard to a 72-49 victory over Holy Cross on Wednesday night.
Keith Wright scored 16 of his game-high 18 points in the second half, going 6 of 8 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line, and had six rebounds for Harvard (1-1).
Christian Webster scored 12 points and Oliver McNally added 10 points for the Crimson.
Harvard jumped out to a 16-2 lead and extended it to 32-13 on Ugo Okam’s layup with 2:58 left in the first half.
The Crimson pushed the lead to 46-16 on Webster’s layup with 14:43 to play and 66-33 on Curry’s layup with 4:55 left.
R.J. Evans led Holy Cross (0-2) with 12 points. The Crusaders shot 25 percent from the field (6 of 24) in the first half.
Harvard shot 52 percent from the field (26 of 50) and outrebounded Holy Cross 38-25.
