COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Kenneth Faried paced four Eagles in double figures, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead Morehead State to a 77-64 win over Tennessee Tech on Thursday night.
Faried, who posted his ninth double-double on the season, also added three steals and two blocks for Morehead State (9-6, 4-1 Ohio Valley Conference). Morehead State won its fifth straight, posting its 1,000 victory in program history.
Demonte Harper added 15 points, while Terrence Hill and Maze Stallworth each tallied 12 for Morehead State, which beat Tennessee Tech for the fourth straight time.
Tied at 47 in the second half, the Morehead State outscored Tennessee Tech 23-6 over an 8 minute period and never looked back. Morehead State shot 55 percent in the second half and outscored Tennessee Tech 50-31 in the frame.
Elijah Muhammed led Tennessee Tech (7-8, 1-3) with 16 points.
