Dunn strong in OT in Baylor’s 72-62 win over Iona

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)—LaceDarius Dunn scored seven of his 17 points in overtime as Baylor beat Iona 72-62 on Friday night.

Dunn opened the extra session by hitting a 3-pointer and making two of three free throws to put the Bears (4-1) ahead 63-58 with 3:58 left. After Iona (3-2) got within three points, Dunn had a basket off of a rebound to extended the Baylor lead to 67-62 with 1:31 remaining in the Old Spice Classic game.

Ekpe Udoh had a basket and Anthony Jones scored on a slam-dunk tip-in to give Baylor a 58-57 lead with 1:34 to go in regulation. Iona tied it at 58 when Scott Machado made one of two free throws 16 seconds later.

Iona trailed by nine at the half, 32-23, but went up 52-51 when Jonathan Huffman hit a 3-pointer with 5 minutes to play.

Mike McFadden scored 13 points for the Gaels and Huffman added 12.
