Let me get this straight....Witchita State shot 53 shots to Iowa's 37 and of those 37 shots 18 were from 3 point range....its no wonder we get hammered everygame. This drive to the basket and kick it out for 3 is obviously not working. We have nobody who can threaten to drive to the basket and have no big man to threaten down low. I hate to say it but this is a lost cause this year.

Alfano i think your right. I was overjoyed when alford left but I think he was far better then lickliter is. Last nights game was horrible to watch, n yet the announcers seemed to think that Iowa wasn't that bad. Maybe I was watching a different game but to me Iowa couldn't play defence, couldn't rebound, had a hell of a time breaking the press and traps, and seemed lost on what to do when they did drive the paint and made it to the rim! I swear all they ever did when they drove the lane was kick it out for a dam three shot. I think they could field a better team if they took players off the football and wrestling teams, atleast then they might play some physical ball instead off being a punching bag for other teams.

Iowa is gonna suck bigtime this year. If they win more then 10 games I will be shocked. Lickliter has no business coaching in the Big Ten. He may have been a good coach at Butler, but playing in the Horizon conferance is far different then the Big Ten. His Princeton style of offense of living on the three ball is a joke, Iowa has NO good post players and very little overall size which is gonna translate to getting pounded into the ground by virtualy every other team in the conferance. I can only pray that Iowa fires the coach at the end of the year and brings in someone accoustomed to the Big Ten so we can get the fans back and put a decent looking team on the court. How I miss the days of Tom Davies being the coach!

Lack of size is going to hurt this year.
