CANCUN, Mexico (AP)—Justin Robinson had 23 points and Mike Ringgold scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half to lead Rider to an 88-73 win over Florida A&M on Tuesday.
Novar Gadson finished with 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Broncs (3-2) in the Cancun Classic. Ryan Thompson added 13 points.
Rider went on a 14-2 run in the second half to claim a 51-41 lead, capped by Ringgold’s three-point play. Gadson had five points and Robinson scored four during the spurt.
The Rattlers (0-5) cut Rider’s lead to 63-57 on Dale Hughes’ 3-pointer with 8:38 left to play. But Florida A&M would get no closer as the Broncs increased its margin to 14 after another three-point play by Ringgold, who went 7-for-12 from floor and had six rebounds.
Hughes, who shot 5-for-10 from beyond the arc, led the Rattlers with 15 points. Larry Jackson had a game-high 10 rebounds.
