HOUSTON (AP)—Whitworth Treasure scored 21 points and Texas Southern rallied in the second half to beat Idaho 72-65 Sunday night.
Treasure scored 14 of his points in the final 20 minutes when the Tigers (1-1) outscored the Vandals 42-33.
Mac Hopson led Idaho (1-1) with 14 points, and Kashif Watson added 13.
Justin Ray had 14 points, Travele Jones finished with 11 and DeAndre Hall 10 for Texas Southern, which took advantage of 16 Idaho turnovers. The Tigers committed only eight turnovers.
After trailing 32-30 at halftime, Texas Southern took control in the second half and led by as many as 10 points.
