IRVINE, Calif. (AP)—Michael Hunter scored 14 points to lead four UC Irvine players in double figures Friday night and the Anteaters rolled to an 82-54 victory over La Verne.
UC Irvine, which will play No. 3 Texas on Sunday, scored the game’s first 15 points against Division III La Verne. The Anteaters got 12 points each from Pavol Losonsky and Darren Moore and Eric Wise scored 10.
Peter Simek had a team-high six rebounds off the bench and also contributed nine points. Twelve players scored for the Anteaters, who led 35-20 at halftime.
Trevor Woodland scored 13 points and Brian Schumm had nine rebounds to lead the Leopards.
