BALTIMORE (AP)—Reggie Holmes scored 15 points and Morgan State defeated Delaware State 64-50 on Saturday.
Holmes was one of three Bears (19-11, 12-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) to score in double figures. Jermaine Bolden added 12 points and Marquise Kately chipped in with 10.
After leading 36-28 at halftime, Morgan State opened the second half with a 14-4 run, resulting in a 50-32 lead on a Kevin Thompson layup with 14:24 remaining.
The Bears scored 11 points off of 11 Delaware State (7-23, 5-10) turnovers.
The Hornets, who shot 38.5 percent form the floor (20 of 52) were led by Fred Bouie with 16 points.
Morgan State outrebounded the Hornets 37-29. Thompson led the Bears with eight rebounds.
The Hornets lost their fourth straight game.
