OREM, Utah (AP)—Trent Blakley scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Cal State Bakersfield to a 63-58 win over Utah Valley on Friday night.
Santwon Latunde added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Roadrunners (7-20), who completed a two-game sweep over Utah Valley this season with the win.
The Roadrunners held Ryan Toolson, the Wolverines’ leading scorer, to just six points in the first half and went into the break with a 32-22 lead.
Utah Valley (14-11) rallied in the second half and cut the lead to three points with just under a minute remaining on a 3-pointer by Toolson, but could get no closer.
Toolson scored 16 points in the second half to finish with a game-high 22. Josh Olsen added 13 points and seven rebounds.
