CLINTON, S.C. (AP)—Chase Holmes scored 24 points to lead Presbyterian in a 63-57 win over Virginia Military Institute on Monday night.
Pierre Miller added 13 points and Al’Lonzo Coleman had 12 for the Blue Hose (11-15, 8-7 Big South Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Chavis Holmes led the Keydets (20-8, 11-4) with 19 points, while Ron Burks had 15 points, including a 4-for-8 game from beyond the arc, and nine rebounds. Travis Holmes chipped in with 12 points for VMI, which has dropped two in a row.
Presbyterian led 27-15 at halftime after a rough first half for VMI, which shot just 19.2 percent from the floor (5 of 26). The Keydets fought back in the second, outscoring the Blue Hose 42-36, but could never take the lead.
Presbyterian won the rebounding battle 39-30.
