Fitch leads Alabama State past Prairie View, 65-53

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP)—Roland Fitch scored 15 points and Brandon Brooks had 10 points and seven assists to lead Alabama State to a 65-53 victory against Prairie View A&M on Saturday night.

The Hornets (10-8, 7-2 Southwestern Athletic) fell behind 9-0 and trailed 19-11 when they went on a 15-0 run for a 26-19 lead.

Christopher Jones scored 13 points for the Panthers (9-12, 5-3). Jacoie Shivers scored seven of Prairie View’s first 12 points and had 11 at halftime but didn’t take a shot in the second half.
