NORMAL, Ill. (AP)—Emmanuel Holloway had 15 points and Osiris Eldridge added 13 points to lead Illinois State to a 69-65 victory over Bradley on Saturday.
Illinois State (18-4, 7-4 Missouri Valley) earned a double-double from Champ Oguchi, who had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Dinma Odiakosa had 11 points for the Redbirds. Illinois State last lost to Bradley (13-9, 7-4 Missouri Valley) on Jan. 6 when the Braves broke the Redbirds’ 14-0 record.
Theron Wilson led Bradley with 17 points. Dodie Dunson had 15 points and Sam Maniscalco added 14 points.
Illinois State led 34-29 going into half time. The Braves came back from the break to outscore the Redbirds 36-35 in the second period, but the rally wasn’t enough for the win.
Lloyd Phillips had a game-high seven assists for Illinois State. The Redbirds had problem on defense with 12 turnovers that the Braves were able to turn into 13 points.
