TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP)—Brian Fisher scored 16 points to lead Winston-Salem State to an 80-66 win over Florida A&M on Saturday night.
Jamal Durham added 15 points for the Rams (5-14), while Isiah Tucker chipped in with 12.
The Rams went on a 12-3 run early in the first half to take a 20-12 lead with 12 minutes remaining. Durham’s 3-pointer with two seconds left gave Winston-Salem a 42-29 lead at halftime.
The Rattlers (6-13) trailed by as many as 19, but used a 21-7 run to cut the lead to 57-52 with 10:38 remaining. Florida A&M managed to pull within three points after Larry Jackson made two free throws, making the score 67-64 with 3:39 left.
But the Rams closed the game with a 13-2 run, as the Rattlers only capitalizing on two free throws for the rest of the game.
David Buchanon led Florida A&M with 15 points. Yannick Crowder added 13 points and 13 rebounds.
