CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP)—Stephen Curry scored 32 points and Davidson remained undefeated in the Southern Conference, beating Chattanooga 92-70 on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats (17-3, 10-0) extended their streak to 40 games in league play. Davidson is four wins away from tying the record of 44 consecutive wins, set by West Virginia between 1956-60.
Curry hit a 3-pointer as time expired to give the Wildcats a 41-28 halftime lead.
Davidson opened the second half with six straight points to claim a 47-28 advantage. Curry sparked the surge with a layup, an assist to Max Paulhus Gosselin and a jumper.
The Wildcats took a 81-56 lead with 5:02 left on a layup by Ben Allison, who finished with 12 points. Andrew Lovedale had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Stephen McDowell led the Mocs (9-12, 5-5) with 17 points, while Kevin Goffney had 16 and Nicchaeus Doaks added 15.
