MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP)—Maze Stallworth scored 18 points, all from the 3-point line, to lead Morehead State to a 68-64 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday night.
Morehead State (11-10, 7-2 Ohio Valley Conference), which has won five of its past six games, took the lead for good on Robert Murry’s 3-pointer with 8:05 left in the game.
Eastern Kentucky (11-9, 4-5) trailed 65-64 before Brandon Singles hit two free throws with 8 seconds left and Demonte Harper hit one with 5 seconds remaining to clinch the win.
The Eagles were 9 of 18 from the 3-point line, with Stallworth hitting six of his 10 shots from behind the arc.
Leon Buchanan scored 15 points and Kenneth Faried had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Morehead State.
Mike Rose scored 22 points, Jorge Camacho had 15 points, Joshua Jones added 11 points for the Colonels. Justin Stommes chipped in with 10 points.
