SAN ANTONIO (AP)—Marquez Haynes scored 20 points and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in the second overtime of Texas-Arlington’s 100-97 victory against Texas-San Antonio on Saturday night.
Four players scored 19 points apiece for the Mavericks (9-7, 2-1 Southland) — Anthony Vereen, Brandon Long, Roge’r Guignard and Tommy Moffitt, who had 10 rebounds.
Travis Gabbidon led the Roadrunners (10-5, 2-1) with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Richie Frohlich also had 10 rebounds to go with 14 points.
Guignard forced the first overtime with a 3-pointer that tied the score at 74 with 19 seconds remaining.
Devin Gibson, who scored 21 points for UTSA, forced the second overtime by converting a three-point play to make it 85-85 with 35 seconds left in the first OT.
