FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP)—Jeremy Chappell hit a jumper with 2 seconds left in overtime as Robert Morris defeated Sacred Heart 72-70 on Saturday.
Campbell had 19 points for the Colonials (10-7), who also got 16 from Jimmy Langhurst. Rob Robinson added 13 and Dallas Green had 10.
Joey Henley led the Pioneers (5-10) with 23 points, his second consecutive game over 20 points. Corey Hassan finished with 17 for Sacred Heart while Ryan Litke had 12 and Chauncey Hardy had 10.
The Colonials held a 34-25 lead going into the second half, but Sacred Heart closed the gap and Chappell’s layup with :13 left tied the game and sent the teams to overtime.
The teams traded baskets early in the overtime and were tied at 70-70 when Chappell buried a 12-foot jumper to give the Colonials their final 2 points.
